Job Summary: 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Sales Manager to drive revenue growth for our optical transceivers, high-speed cables, and optical interconnect solutions within the data center market in the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in optical networking, proven sales expertise, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key customers, including hyperscale cloud providers, colocation facilities, and enterprise data centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets in the data center market.
  • Identify, engage, and manage relationships with key decision-makers, including procurement teams, network engineers, and data center architects.
  • Drive new business opportunities while managing and expanding existing customer accounts.
  • Provide technical consultation and product recommendations based on customer requirements and industry trends.
  • Work closely with engineering, product management, and marketing teams to ensure alignment with customer needs.
  • Conduct product presentations, demos, and training sessions for customers and partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in optical networking.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts to close deals while maintaining profitable margins.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, or account management in optical networking, transceivers, cables, or data center interconnect solutions.
  • Deep understanding of optical transceivers (SFP, QSFP, OSFP, etc.), AOC/DAC cables, and high-speed interconnects.
  • Familiarity with hyperscale, cloud, and enterprise data center networking architectures.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to translate complex solutions into business value for customers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel 30-50% within the United States as required.
